I made it!! My flight may have been delayed over two hours - how's that for Argentinian time - but I am here at my first hostel in Buenos Aires. The flight was easy and I even made a friend. The guy who sat next to me is staying at my hostel. He's actually taking some time to travel before going to SIPA at Columbia, so that was an automatic conversation starter. He seems nice, but you know...SIPA-ish (internationally wise, a little socially aloof, and on his third degree). OH! I need to thank my brother for the best, most awesome, laugh-out-loud-funny plane letter. It's great. After the flight, my cab ride here was easy. The people who greeted me thought I was a Spainiard (yay for my accent!) My driver was so sweet (he looked like the priest from Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame - hmm Joseph) and we spoke in Spanish the whole way here. Let's say that I spoke better than I expected to, but I need some work. Anywho, I need to get settled in and get a phone so I can call people here and make arrangements for Shabbat. I'll post again soon.
Besos para todos!
